The Pentair/Pacfab 355318 Challenger Pump Strainer Basket is a replacement basket for the Challenger pump. The strainer basket collects debris that has bypassed the skimmer basket and entered the pump trap basket. Cracked baskets can allow debris to enter further into the pump that can clog the pump impeller. Damaged baskets should be replaced to protect other equipment.
