COVID-19 and Your Pool and Hot Tub
In this time of uncertainty, many of us are taking unprecedented steps to be safe. Whether it is being more aware of proper sanitation practices, and/or limiting outdoor activities around large crowds. With pool season rapidly approaching, many are wondering what impact this can have on their swimming pool.
According to the CDC, there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.
It has always been important to properly maintain and operate your swimming pool. Make sure that you follow proper guidelines when opening your swimming pool and maintaining its cleanliness throughout pool season. Also, make sure to regularly disinfect your pool and the areas surrounding it. We have chlorine, bromine and many other pool chemicals and equipment to help you keep your pool safe for everyone.
